...but not the bad kind! I swear! I have been burning a lot of incense lately, much of which was purchased through Etsy, some from other sources. One in particular that I really love is called moon spice, and it smells absolutely epic, but the scent cravings don't stop there. Last night I purchased 6 bottles of scented body oils which I intend to use in place of perfume. From what I hear, they last longer and have an aroma rather than a strong scent and are very pleasing. You know what I ran across though? A body oil that smells like babies. Wtf???
Our parrot Isaiah is doing well. His recent check-up at the vet yielded good news that his back is healing nicely with just minor bruising. She even said he was fine to come off of his pain medication. I was ecstatic to hear the news. When I first learned of his back being broken I was gravely upset and was certain his death would soon follow... but it really looks like he is going to pull through! He has always been a fighter, so YAY!
Laptops are very expensive yet are manufactured so cheaply. It is amazing how much you pay for something just to have it crash or fall apart in your hands after only a short time. I can say that about most things you pay for, though. Everything is made to be disposable, unlike the old days. I can't stand it. That Vaio I bought recently (if you remember) has cooked itself. Ironically just like the Vaio before it. SOOOOOO... I went shopping and came home with an HP Pavilion 17. Let's hope all goes well THIS time.
Also, I may be taking a short hiatus. Forgive me if I am sparse for the next couple of weeks. Need time to replenish the creativity.
Our male eclectic parrot got startled in the middle of the night and fell off his perch. This happened the day before yesterday. We took him to the vet specialist, and he has broken his back. She said she couldn't do anything for him, that there is a chance it might heal, but to prepare for the worst. The mood is gloomy around here to say the least... especially considering we had one of our parakeets die not even a week prior to this. She was really old. Her mate is the same age, and after her death we are afraid that he will soon follow. They do say that death comes in threes. I sure hope our parrot will be alright.
I've been drawing plans for new shapes. They are flourishes, and I call them 'fairy trails.' Lots of little dots, swirls and leafy wings. They are simple, but really cute. Hope to have them up by next Monday. Still have to scan the drawings and create the vectors. Hopefully more shapes to come soon after that set. I was thinking of deco circles or variations of gothic crosses. We'll see how it all goes. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them.
